So today Uncle John, Aunt Sharon, Isaac, Philip and I all headed down to Branson. The plan was originally to go to a boat show AS had seen advertized in the paper, and to go to Bass Pro to pick up a choke for UJ's shotgun (it's turkey season ;P ). We decided to go there first since AS wasn't sure where the show was supposed to be and we thought surely the good people at Bass Pro would know where it was. Well it turned out there was no boat show today :-/ so we hung around Bass Pro a little while and after much searching found the proper choke (we hope :P )... After that little adventure the general concensus was to find some grub cuz I for one was hungry after not having had any breakfast to speak of (crazy morning, sending half the fam off to TX and all).
There was a seafood restaurant right outside Bass Pro, but since I tend to avoid seafood at all costs, I voted we walk down the landing and find somewhere else :P So we wandered down till the incredible smell of BBQ about killed us. There stood Famous Dave's and the Macaroni grill. I'd never been to either so we decided to inspect. FD had a menu sitting outside so we looked and were not completely sure so we thought we'd look in MG and see how the prices compared. Unfortunately MG didn't have their menu readily displayed so when we entered we were immediately abducted by the hostess and seated and on our way to trying a new restaurant.
I have to say, this was a pretty neat restaurant. It had all the makings of a cool Italian restaurant (as far as I know, for I have never really been to an Italian restaurant). But instead of table cloths, they had large pieces of paper on the table. And... CRAYONS! lol that's right... you get to color on the table while you're waiting for your food :P how cool is that? So after looking at the menu I decided that I needed pizza... Which inspired my first doodle.
I traced around my plate, my camera, and my fork, and wrote little things like "Kali was here" and "fork does not go here"

Well the food was really good and we all enjoyed it. The onlly thing was my pizza was slightly burned which I hate burnt stuff :-? but oh well :) I didn't even eat half the pizza LOL it was too much! I guess I ate too much of that yummy fresh bread they had :) Ok funny thing... AS went into the restroom afterward and on the inside of the ladies restroom door, it says "mens" and on the inside of the mens restroom door it says "ladies" LOL is that not a hilariously cruel joke? :P
So after eating, we headed down to the boardwalk to admire the cool fog over the lake

After that point the boys went into the Harley Davidson store while AS and I stood outside and looked into the water. Then we headed back toward the car slowly, going into a few shops... AS and I were looking to find a long denim skirt. HA! not a chance :roll: just all these weird, bright, clashy clothes. The styles nowadays! :roll: LOL but we did find a nice, long, full, black skirt in Christopher and Banks that we both liked but lacked the 35 somethin to buy O_O oh well... it's on my list :P Anyway then we got back in the car and headed home in hopes of beating the gathering thunderstorm (successful, we were!).
Coming through Forsythe on the way back, AS was ready for dessert, so we stopped at Sonic and got some malts and sonic blasts. The poor guy running the orders was new and having trouble... the static from the nearby storm didn't help I guess :P But whatev... We enjoyed ourselves and our dessert and we all lived happily ever after :) The end
